AIR runtime will not install

I must be missing something simple....

I cannot get the AIR runtime to install on a 17" G4 iMac, 1ghz processor, 768 RAM. I click on the installer application and nothing happens.

Has anyone else had this problem or can they shed some light on what might be going wrong?
